  • Change in newsposting

Just a few days ago we've made quite a few changes to our website. In order to fully benifit from them, we will also slighty alter our newsposting habbits. From now on we will post all the news we can find on our forums, and the most important news will be promoted to an article to be displayed on our homepage. From this point onwards it is also possible your name will be shown as "author" on the homepage article if you are the first one to post the news on our forums. All the news should be posted in these forums.

While posting news, there are a few guidelines you should follow. A fitting title is needed, often it's best to take the title of the original source article, and a mention of the website where you found the news is done as a matter of respect for the publishers. Other than that, include a link to the source and if you like you can summarize the content with your own words.

Use the following title format while posting news:
    Original title | Source
    Example:

From now on we'll also make a difference in frontpage news and less important news. There are so many newssources for Guild Wars 2 that it would be quite a clutter if we'd promote everything to articles on the homepage. To keep things as tidy as possible on the homepage, we'll try to make the best choice in what to display there and what to keep on the forums only.

In a few days we'll also add a reward system for those actively contributing and making an effort on improving our fansite. A point/thanks system would be in place and in due time we're sure to give some extra's to those with helping hands.
