Wonderful information has just been posted by ArenaNet. The most remarkable is a confirmed level cap of 80!

So how did we accomplish our goals, you ask? Good question! First off, we set the level cap for the game at 80, but we made the time between levels rather short. Instead of taking longer and longer to reach each level, it takes about the same time to go through each level. It’s pretty simple; if we expect you to level up every few hours, then why shouldn’t it be that way all through the game?
To better illustrate this, here’s a chart of a typical game’s leveling curve compared to the Guild Wars 2 leveling curve:

I'm pleased to read this, it's been bugging me lately that all games ask more XP the higher level you are. Some games even double the amount per level. It's clear that they want to avoid the grindy feel most new MMO's implemented lately and I can't be more happy about this.

(Update: We got a number of questions regarding our graph, so we’re updating it to make it a little more clear. It was not our intention to imply that the early levels of the game require the exact same time investment as later levels, but to show that the curve plateaus.)

I agree, I have given up grinding titles in Gw, not that I am particularly interested in titles, but thought a few would be nice. Getting to the last Kurzick level is just something that is not worth my time (nor all the EoTN tracks). Thanks heavens the game itself doesn't require that. If GW2 has the same sort of grind I hear about in other MMOs, I just wouldn't play it.
