  • Guild Wars Beyond is moving on!

As many of you know, Guild Wars Beyond is an ongoing campaign, that will transfer a player from known world into the new one through a gaming experience. This way players don't only get to read how the world changed but can actually live through the change.

This content goes by the name War in Kryta. It began March 2010 and is related to the war between Shining Blade and White Mantle. Players get to play through significant moments with key characters that helped shape the world we will step into on the release day of Guild Wars 2.

War in Kryta attracted many old players, but it also touched a chord on those that are strangers to Guild Wars and are now playing it to experience the background story of Guild Wars 2 and for the Hall of Monument rewards.

It is frustrating for new players, because all of their fellow experienced Guild Wars friends are already dealing with the War in Kryta, where newbies are sadly nowhere near, to what is basically, end content of the game. That being said, the road towards rewards seems truthfully long and maybe because it is, it is on players to decide if living the story through to recieve titles, weapons, armor etc. in Guild Wars 2 is worth their while. In the end it can be a fun experience after all.

So while there was no Guild Wars 2 news in the last few weeks, massively.com was busy interviewing ArenaNet on what's to come in Guild Wars Beyond. Official name of Canthan content is Winds of Change, we get to see Keiran's comeback, a wedding, Lunatic Court...

The interview is available in the link below!

Nice write-up Artorian. The war in kryta stuff is quite tough, the Battle for Lion's Arch is a crazy battle, great fun :) Looking forward to the new Cantha content, I hope it is as good as the War in Kryta was :)
