Oh what a glorious morning it is to wake up to an Arena Net blog, and then to top it all off we're taunted with confirmation of an open beta in February (for selective press) and a more public one in March and April.

Now, if that doesn't just make your day I really don't know what will! Perhaps we're looking at a summer release, something I've been saying for quite some time now!

In February we’ll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate.

Yay!! Now all I have to do is find something to occupy my time till release. SWTOR certainly isn't going to to do it. Maybe I'll just take a break before settling into my "home sweet home" GW2.

Yeah as if that's going to be easy to do... I'm already stuck for what to do right now at this very moment. I'm thinking September-October-November bracket. =X Some news (finally) is better than no news, and I think that'll get a fair number of the pitchfork-toting mobs off their back regarding that sensitive subject.

Since the game looks polished and I've heard that a popular ANet staffer who posts on Twitter and Something Awful has supposedly revealed that the game is already feature-complete and it's mostly bugs and maps they're going to be working on, I don't think it'll take til Q3, but you never know. Either way, can't wait.
