Lets see what kind of goodies were found on the web last week. We know most are waiting anxiously for next week, the 20th to be exact, as that marks the day when the NDA will be lifted. Many well known press-sites have been invited to the beta, so we're all expecting a news overload next week!
This week on the otherhand was quite calm, but nevertheless filled with some very interested articles from the GW2 community.
NCSoft named this week: "Gamer Safety Week", making the entire gaming community aware of the importance of online safety. GuildWarsInsider was one of the many fansites commenting on this, by creating an article dedicated to the topic.
On a different note: GuildMag is searching for assistance! So get over there and offer it to them! This week, GuildMag presents us with a new community spotlight. Their light now shines on Wartower.de and their video made at GamesCom 2011: "Why developers love it". While we're talking about videos, GuildWarsInsider published one explaining the vast amount of skills and how they are used in Guild Wars 2. The folks over at GuildWars2Live adress something totaly different, but likely something that will be of interest to us all, the article titled: "Dear ArenaNet; A Collector’s Dream" talks about the writer's hopes for the perfect Collector's Edition.
Our community members didn't pause this week either. Achilles of Dragon Season talks about the Necromancer. Venomania found a gem hidden on the web, The New Player Handbook by Band of Brothers. We must also give credit to Kail for creating a wonderful Guild Wars 2 Video compilation thread, whatever you would like to watch, you are most certain to find it there! Last but not least, Darkademic wrote a very interesting article: "Guild Wars 2 Endgame: You Actually Get to Eat the Carrot", certainly worth your attention.
This week, we also had the privilege to welcome a new fansite to the GW2 community. The newly launched 321Spike will offer Guild Wars 2 competitive PvP news, reviews, and tournament coverage.
To conclude, our weekly dose of podcasts consists of "Tales of Tyria #17: A Scandal in Seattle" and "GuildCast: Underwater PvP?". I'd also like to inform you all that Tales of Tyria will do a new podcast tonight, live at 8pm EST, so be sure to check that out.
I hope you all had a nice week, be sure to stay tuned for more Guild Wars 2 goodies this week!
