Well this is a first, at least it is for me anyway, a developer that even takes the time to find out what goodies you'll want in the future, granted theres a good chance its just so they know exactly what free stuff to bring to next months E3...

But hey at least if we do get some swag out of them this should improve the chances of it being something we really really want. So head on over to the official ArenaNet website and do your bit for game related stuff lovers everywhere!

Yet more Dynamic Event goodness from ArenaNet, today it was Lead Designer Eric Flannum's turn to answer some of the more commonly asked questions surrounding the game since last weeks reveal of their game changing mechanic.

In this latest article Eric discusses ArenaNet's plans to keep griefing to a minimum, event scaling and whether or not traditional quests are a thing of the past.

A few things need to be said about the event system here. One of the primary goals when we design each and every event is ensuring that the event is not griefable. The entire point of the event system is that players work together to succeed at events, therefore the only way to manipulate the system in a negative way would be to cause an event to fail. “Events never encourage player conflict, and never have fail conditions that can be actively triggered by players.”Events never encourage player conflict, and never have fail conditions that can be actively triggered by players.

Another revealing blog entry has been made on ArenaNet. The brute and social is already old news, let us talk fashion with Guild Wars 2 character artist Kristen Perry.

Designing the clothing for a race is a lot of fun, particularly when you start at the beginning with a clean slate. One of the things I really like about GW2 is it gave us the opportunity to see the town inhabitants as a whole, rather than just an individual list of needed people (even though what I got was a list of needed people, heh heh). This allowed me to draw a block of designs at once and see them all together. Doing that gives insight into how the NPCs work as a crowd, spreading out interesting silhouettes and shapes that make them simultaneously a good backdrop for the players as well as appealing individually.

This week we have been blessed with all new and juicy information on Guild Wars 2. We have been introduced to combat, skills, social elements and much more on Mike O'Brian's blog and on top of that we were able to see a glimpse of the Elementalist, the first documented class in Guild Wars 2!

Such an overflow of information instantly produced a flood of questions amongst the Guild Wars 2 community. Now, we are glad to see some of these questions answered in a even more revealing article by ArenaNet.

There’s more to Guild Wars 2 than our combat system – we have a wide variety of non-combat activities in the game. All of the major cities in Guild Wars 2 will feature games and activities that people can play regardless of their level. You can slug it out in a bar brawl, test your aim in a shooting gallery, or ride the Smash ‘Em Ups at the carnival.

In all excitement of Guild Wars' 5th anniversary this week, ArenaNet took it as a great opportunity to look back at its success and on how Guild Wars 2 might break loose from the conventional MMORPG's up to date.

In an extensive article ArenaNet's blogger Mike O'Brien tells us how important the social aspects are in Guild Wars 2 and gives us more details about the design, combat and most importantly how the game is intended to be fun from moment to moment!

So if you love MMORPGs, you should check out Guild Wars 2. But if you hate traditional MMORPGs, then you should really check out Guild Wars 2. Because, like Guild Wars before it, GW2 doesn’t fall into the traps of traditional MMORPGs. It doesn’t suck your life away and force you onto a grinding treadmill; it doesn’t make you spend hours preparing to have fun rather than just having fun; and of course, it doesn’t have a monthly fee.
