    ANIMOSITY:
Animosity is a tight-knit gaming community involved with multiple MMOs, FPSs, RTSs and even PnP. We are comprised of 18+ mature, skilled and dedicated gamers based all over the world (US, EU, AU) who have years of gaming experience between them. Our recruitment process is focused and specific and our ambition is to build a strong community of fun, easy going yet dedicated gamers for each game that we enter. Animosity is constantly changing and evolving to make sure that we are as well organized as is possible for the games that we seek to progress in.
    PHILOSOPHY:
We strongly believe that real life comes first. We know that random events change our daily lives, and no guild or game should expect you to suffer for taking care of whatever matters most in your own life. Whilst we strive for success in all of our games, we understand life's obligations. We are all here to hang out and game, at the same time as building a group of skilled gamers who can work together well to overcome whatever challenge is thrown at them. We are not against trimming the herd; we don't allow periods of inactivity of over 4 weeks (unless due to military service or extenuating circumstances) without scrutiny and we conduct monthly inactivity checks to coincide with our inactivity policy: must be active in-game, VoIP and on the forums.
    COMMUNITY:
Our community is orientated towards the "casual" mindset with particular reference to "community". But that does not mean that we do not game heavily. We raid hard modes. We do PvP brackets. And we strive to create a wonderful community that we all enjoy being apart of while maintaining a healthy level of competition within the games we play.
Animosity is a Gaming Community above everything else, and as a member of the Animosity community you are expected to be gaming regularly with your fellow guildmates.
In addition Animosity has alliances with other quality guilds, including Midnight Squadron, and other game specific guilds. We do everything we can to make sure our members have someone to game with and are able to game with the best.
    OUR AGENDA:
Leaders: We as leaders and officers of the guild strive to be the most organized and active guild we can possibly muster, to stay on top of the game and keep our members happy. We seek to set the example and not dictate rules.
Guild: We seek to progress consistently through PvP and PvE, accepting that we must put in additional time and effort in order to perform to the best of our abilities. Our end goal is to be one of the best, if not the best.
    BACKGROUND:
Animosity was formed on the 14th of January 2009. Many of the initial members and leadership were apart of the guild A'a Netjer. We have a host of members of different backgrounds, including well known guilds such as Death and Taxes and Nihilum of World of Warcraft fame. We also have numerous multi-Rank 14 members, Arena Gladiators, Pre-CU /NGE Jedi and other members with hefty game-specific achievements not including our members with world first boss kills in World of Warcraft and Warhammer Online.

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?:
    - Mature 18+ Players
    - Dedicated and loyal gamers
    - Experience and understanding
    - Fun, humor, responsibility
    - Progressive mindset
    - Active

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A MEMBER:

    Belief –
Animosity's mission is to be respected as one of the most skilled, organized and active guild's in all of our divisions. Our goal is to progress through end-game and pvp off our own steam. All members of Animosity must believe in our mission and our goals to be a member of this community.
    Loyalty –
It is extremely important to maintain a high level of loyalty to the community you are apart of and have helped to grow and progress. If you have other friends that you game with who are not a member of Animosity, your primary loyalty must be with Animosity and your division. We accept that real life and other commitments come first, however if you're gaming, and Animosity calls on your assistance, you must remain loyal to the Animosity belief system.
    Skill -
As a member of Animosity you are required to be skilled, or have the potential to be skilled or trained. Whilst Animosity generally serves to find recruits of high skill, we also accept those with potential who can be trained to match our progression.
    Trainable -
Every day you learn something different. That statement is usually uttered by executives and long-term management, but rarely by the grunts. Even if you feel you're at the top of your game, or you need assistance with your class, it is not something we look down upon. Animosity members must be willing to be trained; it is amazing what can be achieved with regular insight to your game plan, especially on a larger pvp scale.
    Gamer Etiquette -
All members of Animosity are required to have basic manners. With a large guild, there are going to be members who simply don't get along or see eye to eye. As long as we can all work politely together with progression and our mission in mind, we can stay afloat.
    Organized -
Our community is based on maturity, and usually with maturity comes a general level of organization from our members. If there is a raid schedule, a pvp arena or an event in which you are either subscribed to, or are expected to attend, all Animosity members are required to be on time and be prepared.
    Team Play -
Animosity is about teamwork and working as such. Animosity members are required to engage with the rest of the community and not seek an individual play style. As with gamer etiquette, if there are groups running content within there own party, Animosity members are expected to respect that intent.
    Maturity -
It is the basic foundation of Animosity on a whole. With maturity, the above points come seamlessly.
    Activity -
You must be active within the Animosity guild. You may hold all of the above attributes, but are rarely seen, in which our activity policy will list you as inactive.

    1. Active In-Game
    2. Active within VoIP
    3. Active within the Animosity Forums.

Read the full details on the activity policy here.

Please, take a step back, and make sure you have read the above information before applying to join Animosity. We don't seek to waste your time by presenting a sub-par guild to apply to, so please don't waste our time if you do not intend to fully engage yourself within the community, and be apart of the team, and cannot tick all of the boxes under what it takes to be a member.

The forum reset deleted our only messages lol. We just got the thread working right too. Anyways I would like to welcome our new trials again, Aidan and Riki.

We aren't restricted to PC gaming only. We have an event for guild members with 360's to play COD Black Ops. We have several members that own 360's and ps3's to keep a variety of games as events so we don't...burn out on pc games

We have a Heroes of Newerth event that is in the works. We have had one before and it went really well. If you play any of the games that are on our forums then feel free to contact us to play together.

What is the 'event'? I'm quite active HoN, am sure I have over 3500 games played in total :p

You seem to be around the 1500 psr mark atm? I am around there at the moment as well, would be interested in taking part in anything if I can

There was a bug in my account/stats or something, and only way for it to be fixed was a stat reset, so thats why I'm back to start, I don't intend on staying around 1600 long

First we will probably have a guild members tourney with friends and invitees as well if there are any. Then we will do some ranked 5v5 matches. The skill level varies within the guild so we will have to make adjustments according to who shows up and how the teams will be set up. We will mix it up too so that the noobs wont be left to play with themselves but the skilled players can play some high rated games for stiffer competition. We are all on our guilds TeamSpeak3 server for this too. It's great fun and is good practice for organized gaming.

If you are interested I can definitely fill you in when the time and specifics of the event are in place. It might be a little while though because we might mix it in with our quarterly Meet N Greet or a Christmas thing not yet decided.
