    In the latest interview from GameSpot they mentioned this would be available in GW2 and sieging as well.

    GS: How will Guild Wars 2's player-versus-player competitive play embrace the concept of being "massively multiplayer"? Will there be new PVP modes?

    EF: We have two types of PVP in the game. The first is a small, team-based competitive style which places everyone on equal footing. Our second type, or "world vs. world," is a massive game type that takes place between multiple worlds (or servers, as other games call them). WVW features battles with hundreds of players, keep sieges, resource gathering, and a lot of map-wide strategy. We haven't released a ton of details on PVP yet because we're still very much working on it. Our basic policy is to not talk about things until they're in the game and we've had a chance to iterate on them. You can expect to hear more about PVP in the coming months.
    Seeing as many previous mmo's failed to deliver in large scale pvp (huge server unstability or giant zergfests), I'm wondering if GW2 can do it right. The sieging also sounds interesting, maybe guilds will be able to create their own cities/keeps, who knows :)

    I have never been a fan of PvP but the WvW concept has caught my attention, massive and chaotic battles should be fun :)

    I have heard alot of 100vs100 battles (PvP) so that might be the server vs server battles i dont know but the 100vs100 is like almost a fact i read it in an article in a game magazine the guy who said it wasnt supposed to give it away but he did ^^ so ye he also said these battles can last for hours (days) with people going afk and coming back in the War!!! so yep :) thts what i know and i find it AWSMMMM

    A dutch one i think it was pc-gameplay and otherwise it was uhm powerunlimited :) one of the 2

    Hm.. I gotta say it sounds like they're putting a lot more into the World PvP compared to the Structured PvP, and if the Structured is basically GvG (as stated that it is similar) I might end up missing the other organized PvP events of Guild Wars, such as HoH. I hope they go into more detail with the Structured setup as well.

    RA/TA 4v4 will probally be in there ( ihope) then u got the world vs world bttls (100v100) and i think GvG aswell. < those are the ones im pretty sure off if there will be more i dont know cause i think they will start off with the basic and ad new PvP things later on when the game is there for awhile alrdy :)

    Yeah, I never cared much for RA or TA. I definitely hope to see GvG (of course), a form of PvP similar to HoH, and I think the World vs World battles are sort of a larger substitute for Alliance Battles. With all that, I'd be plenty busy and happy.

    im sure they will theyve worked hard on both pve and pvp parts

    i read somewhere that the wvw is on a map and it 3 worlds vs each other ( any number of ppl per world) and each world tries to take over the clutch siege areas and castles
