    Kiting?

    Hey again! ^^
    This is probably a silly question, but seeing the demo gameplay I just have to ask.

    Since this game is very positional based, will Kiting be possible? My previous MMO experiences had kiting and it was as annoying as anything for my poor warrior to be sniped without being given a chance.

    Has GW2 got any skills to fix this? I don't want my warrior to rely on, say, a rifle to take out rangers that prance around with Troll Unguent. Like a charge attack which slows enemies? A range shot that immobilizes enemies?

    If they do, will the Ranger have a counter spell?

    You know that shield skill you seen in that video that blocked that flame attack on that small lizzard, i think you would use that with the warrior in Gw2... BUT they could have armour and weapon durability which could ware the shield out faster if they do implement that system into the game but highly doubt that but could use energy !

    Shield Stance is a defensive warrior shield skill. It negates damage being received from infront of the user.
    Ranger will need to move around, warrior will need to come closer while blocking or using any of his other skills to do damage, even ranged with bows or with an axe for example he can do:
    Eviscerate is a warrior burst axe skill. When used, this skill will cause you to charge towards your target, then deal heavy damage with your weapon. It grows in raw power with higher adrenaline. At the first stage it gains +20 damage, at the second +40, and +60 at the third.

    Throw Axe is a warrior, main hand axe skill. It can be upgraded with Malicious Accuracy to cripple and critical hit fleeing foes.
    Any class can heal, defend and do ranged attacks, I'm sure PvP will be very balanced and tactical!

    @Siegegamer: Weapon durability (repair option at a vendor) was seen in the demo, but a dev said "It was not removed in the demo, we will most definatly NOT have durability or repairs in the game".

    There's only one thing here that's kind of daunting.
    Both Eviscerate AND Throw axe are axe skills! And shield stance requires a shield (duhh :) )
    I'm sure it would be balanced. Hopefully they will have respective skills for swords, maces etc.
    I don't really want to be forced into using axes or shields (although I do want to be a tank ). I'm wondering if Shield Stance is timed or a 'click and hold to use'?
    If it is, the Ranger could easily dash to the side and hit you with a flanking blow.

    You can have multiple setups, and switch to them in an instant. You can pew-pew a bow and next second stick a sword in your enemy

    :o I like the sound of that.
    So in theory a warrior could use the Final thrust combo, then switch to an axe and do the combo as well, then repeat once the cooldowns are finished?

    I am that Ranger prancing around with my Troll Ungent

    You can kite in order to avoid projectiles in GW2, but I am a little worried that you seem to just want to build a Ranger killer :)

    @ Panda: I guess so. Though I'm going to try and find if I can confirm it, am starting to think it's quite doubtful having all your skills at the ready whenever you want.

    I wish I was too, but we already had a semi-holiday a few days before it D:

    @Jack Yes I do indeed. I found Rangers really pesky with their attitude of 'HAI. I'M EH RANGER. I WILL WHIRLING DEFENCE YOU THEN TROLL UNGUENT SO YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO HARRHARRHARR'.

    I would like it if the game actually incorporated some sort of aiming systems for ome spells. I swear I read about something like that somewhere.
