In the making: Signature Creator

Dear users, below is a future newspost but I'm already looking for people willing test it and give some feedback. Once we are sattisfied with it, we will make it a newspost and put up a link on our navigation.

Have you always wanted to create a Guild Wars 2 signature, but you don't know how? Well, we have some good news for you then! GW2Fans now offers its visitors to create their own Guild Wars 2 signature, with just a few clicks of your mouse. It couldn't be made any easier.

For now, we have only included text boxes for your character name, guild, race and profession. In the future we will be adding other options like server, level and anything else you would like to include. More customization options will be added along the way! Obviously, if you have any requests, just PM them to me and I'll be happy to try your ideas.

When you will test out the signature creator now, you will notice not all race-profession combination have good looking backgrounds assigned to them. We are doing our best to find suitable backgrounds for each combination, but there aren't images around for every one of them. On top of that, I must be honest by saying that I'm not the best at designing, so if people are willing to make their own backgrounds, just let me know. I'll be more than happy to give you credit for it and mention your name on the signature creation page! We are still a fansite and fans make the site!

Once we feel sattisfied with the signature creator, we will make it fully public. Right now there's only a link to it via this thread.

Obviously, signatures have now been enabled on our website. Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback! I've been searching for male and female versions of each race & profession combination, but unfortunately there aren't that many decent screenshots or pieces of artwork to actualy put it to practice.

I've just added it to the coding, as I think it's a good idea. So it's ready to be used once all the images are found. ^^

I like it more than the one from the gw2sig website, i heard that person sold his website for a lot of money, so i'd rather not support theirs. Rather use one a true fan made. Great work!

I must agree that some backgrounds could be done a bit better though, but I understand that it might not be so easy if there aren't that many examples around.

I just made some changes to our signature generator (some race & profession combos now have up to 3 different designs). If anyone would like to contribute by creating some backgrounds for the signatures, you can find a blank template (png) here. You can send your creations via PM to me, and we'll add special credits to the signature generator page if your work is used!

I'm loving the signature generator, you guys should consider making some more backgrounds because I'd be happy to have that as my signature any day. They're very customisable specially with the ability to change the colour of the text and shadow.
Very nicely done.

I've been trying to make more backgrounds, but it's hard to find decent wallpapers, screenshots or artwork for all race/profession combinations. Some combinations don't even have the right background (for example, for some norn combinations, I had to use human artwork).

If anyone finds decent artwork or images to use, feel free to share them! I'd love to add as many backgrounds as possible!

If I knew how the signature generator works I could always help you find some, You'll just have to tell me the dimensions and stuff because then I'll know what to look for.
